It's Hungarian Pastry making time---for Easter. I found the handwritten Holy Grail of Hungarian recipes tucked away in an old file of mine. Handwritten notes from my Mom and a card where she sat me down as a young bride and had me write out the directions as she made them. I hope I told her at the time how much I appreciated her doing that, but probably not. I figured she would always be the one making these pastries and she was the quintessential pastry chef!! But I am learning and I think I have the taste down pat! I think they looked a little sloppy but a dusting of powdered sugar hides a few minor defects. One thing I will add to notes is this------liberal dusting of flour while rolling out and keep dough chilled until ready to roll!!!!!!!!!!!!
