We can NEVER ride our bikes past this sign on the Slippery Elm Bike Trail without the obligatory stop for a pic!! The town of Rudolph is teeny tiny and we mail our Christmas cards at the teeny tiny Rudolph post office where they are hand stamped with a special Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer postmark!

Great day yesterday. Off work at 10:30-washed bedding and hung them OUTSIDE to dry-ran 2 miles and then we took our bikes to BG and pedaled 14 miles. After all that we found a great little restaurant/bar in BG,walked in to wall to wall people and the bartender greeted us like we were old friends and said she had 2 seats at the bar we were welcome to use. We felt right at home-got to know the bartender-the woman next to me(who is a published author) and everyone else who came and went. Food was great-beer was cold and new friends were made. And then---on the way to the car----there they were. The cutest shoes I ever saw sitting in a consignment store window---for 14.00. I knew I saw these shoes before but I couldn't remember where! Of course--- these are the very same shoes that Minnie Mouse wears. I didn't go home with shoes---just a pic! And to a good night's sleep on sheets smelling like the outdoors!

It's 1130 on Friday morning and I am usually at work. The rest of the day and the weekend is ahead of me and how do I celebrate? With a Caramel Coffee in my favorite marigold Fiestaware mug. After this I am headed to park for a run. Boring you may be thinking but I am finding it wonderful!!!

Easter preparation is under way---but it is mild compared to what my mother and grandmother used to do. When they were finished-their entire house was spotless and Easter food was all prepared from scratch and then bundled in the finest table linen and taken to church to be blessed. And on Easter Sunday us kids were sporting new clothes---girls in patent leather shoes and matching purse and a straw hat. Happy Memories. I do have a clean house though---just don't look in my closets and I made a batch if Hungarian pastry. Not as good as my Mom's but getting better each time.
