In 1962 this monument was placed on the battle site of the late 18th century Battle of Fallen Timbers in Maumee Ohio. About 10 years ago, it was discovered that the actual battle was up the road a bit----at the site of a planned mall. We visited both sites today on a bicycle trip. And also the Fallen Timbers Mall for ice cream.
