I am embarrassed to say that today was the first time I attended a Memorial Day Ceremony. Oh, I have placed flags on veteran's graves, gone to parades and enjoyed barbeques, but today's event was something I should have been doing every year. Our community honored our war Veteran's and fallen soldiers at our high school with a tribute and military fly over. It was a humbling experience to be surrounded by veterans of WW2, Korea and Vietnam-heroes who put their lives on the line so we can enjoy the freedoms we take for granted.
